The bears in our area have three distinct coat colours: black, brown and cinnamon. The sizes taken are in the 200 - 400 lb plus range, depending upon the hunters preference.

We have taken two B & C record book bears in 1999, along with numerous bears which were rough scored and were of similar size. Bear hunting is done from tree stands over baits.

The hunting area includes the Greenwater Provincial Park, along with 36 square miles in the Porcupine Forest Reserve south and east of Greenwater Park in total 72 sq miles. The park is located approx 200 miles northeast of Saskatoon.

Base Camp is located on the West side of Greenwater Provincial Park at Marean Lake. The camp is fully modern with electricity, showers, telephone, cooling and freezing facilities. The camp accommodates 8 people. Full meals and essentials provided, with the exception of gun and licenses.

Out Camp #1 is located on the east side Greenwater Provincial Park. Capacity: 2 hunters plus guide.

Out Camp # 2 is located in the Porcupine Provincial Forest. Capacity: 4 hunters plus 2 guides.

The photos on this page are all taken from our 2002 season in which we enjoyed 100% success rate.
